Great Party Environment. My daughter just turned 16. We were having a really hard time finding the perfect location for her age group. This place turned out to be it! Not too small…not too big. This age group just wants lots of loud fist pumping music and a cool place to hang out and that is exactly what they got. The setting was perfect. We had special “mocktails“, balloons, beach balls in the air and it was very festive and not over the top. They staff there was very anxious to plan special themes for us. They are all very friendly and helpful. This business was started by a couple of moms so I totally support their vision. The party that ended just before ours started was a bachelorette party with a belly dancer so you can get very creative at this place. I highly recommend it.

Joint Birthday Party 13th and 14th. My daughter and her friend celebrated their 13th and 14th birthday party here. The setting was very cool yet safe. They had 35 of their friends for the VIP dance party. They danced the night away. The staff was friendly and accomodating as needed. The kids had a blast! Some said it was the BEST party ever! Sharing the party cut the cost, otherwise a bit pricey. However, one of the easiest parties I’ve ever hosted and no clean up. It is a great concept!

Just had my son’s 6th birthday party at Funkytown and it was awesome! The staff is incredible…I didn’t have to worry about anything during the party…just got to enjoy every moment. I had so many parents (and six year olds!) tell me what fun they had. Thanks so much for everything you did to make Zach feel special!

Last night I had the pleasure if going to see the UniverSoul Circus here in Charlotte, thanks to tickets by Kids Directory.  I loved the uniqueness of the UniverSoul Circus, it melds traditional circus acts with the flair of hip hop and African American culture. This unique circus experience showcases a wide spectrum of talent and skills from black performers.

The Circus has 75 performers for twelve acts including clowns, trapeze, motorcycle, daredevils, break dancing, acrobats, bicycle daredevils, magical illusions, dogs, lions, tigers, elephants, stilt walkers, Caribbean Limbo Dancers and more. Performers in this troupe hail from all over the world including Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Columbia, Dominican Republic, China, Cuba, Russia and Brazil.

Don’t miss “the Awesomest Show Ever” as the UniverSoul Circus  has a few shows left this weekend. Enjoy watching the performers from around the world, this seasoned circus is nationally recognized for its high energy performances with audience interaction and thrilling acts. Dance in the aisles with ringmaster Tony Tone. Crane your neck to get a glimpse of the high flying trapezes artists and chow down on cotton candy. It was a great family night.
