Easter is a wonderful holiday with countless activities for children to do; from egg hunts, egg coloring, art projects and huge baskets of goodies. If your kids are anything like my son, they are usually doing all the activities with other kids, while running off the crazy sugar highs from the treats the Easter bunny left.
During your family dinner, why not turn the attention totally on them. Kick off your child’s confidence and sense of humor with some holiday inspired jokes. All kids like jokes and enjoy getting people to laugh. Here is an idea: prepare plastic eggs and little slips of paper with jokes, riddles and fortunes. Have the kids read them at the table to the whole family after Easter dinner or while having dessert. The whole family will get a kick out of it, and your child will soak up the undivided attention from the whole table. It will be a part of the day that they get to be in charge. I have included some samples of jokes and riddles (get creative and add some special family inspired fortunes too).
If you have some good news to share with the family, this can also is a good time for that, maybe to announce a good report card, an up coming play, recital or even a new addition to the family. Easter is a time for sugar highs and getting together with family. Whatever your plans, are I hope you enjoy them.
