Does your kids want to take a hip hop class? FunkyTown Parties is the only urban street dance school in North Carolina. We specialize in the coolest form of dance, Hip Hop and Break Dancing. We offer boys only and girls only classes. Before you decide which school will be best for your child there is something you should know, most dance studios teach “street jazz” and call it hip hop or breakdancing, while having little to no knowledge of the history or foundation of true hip hop culture. Be selective on where you take your hip hop and breakdancing classes you wouldn’t take your ballet classes from someone with no knowledge of the steps or skill, and so your ‘hip hop’ and ‘breakdance’ classes should be the same!

Being a New Yorker and fashionable go hand in hand. You can be just one…I just love anything to do with fashion. So when I came across this awesome flash mob, done by one of my favorite stores of all time H&M ( which I wish they had here in Charlotte NC ) I just had to share it.

FunkyTown Parties had the pleasure of organizing a flash mob a few months ago and we really enjoyed, this one is really great. You never know you just might see our Hip Hop students bust a move somewhere around Charlotte in the Spring 2012.
